For more than 81 years, Freeway has specialized in designing, building, and maintaining custom tools and dies for top OEMs and top tier manufacturers across a wide range of industries, including automotive, heavy truck, lawn and garden, electric vehicles, electronics, appliance, mining, construction, HVAC, and more.
Because tool and die making is so critical, Freeway Corporation maintains a 12,000 square foot “state of the art” tool room facility to produce and maintain both progressive and compound tooling. Whether new tooling, reworking or maintaining existing tooling, the entire process is under our control to ensure on-time delivery and minimal costs.
The new tooling process starts with a cross functional team approach including our customer, engineering, production, and quality to ensure the tools are designed to maximize performance. Designed using our 3D modeling software, the die components are produced using our CNC machining center, EDM wire machine, CNC lathe, and CNC grinders. This unique integration of CAD (computer aided design), and CAM (computer aided manufacturing) of die components has allowed Freeway Corporation to offer tooling with minimal lead times and cost.
Additionally, with our in-house tool room, Freeway has the capability to create inspection gauges and assembly fixtures for part measurement.
All existing tooling is properly maintained to produce parts on demand to meet any production schedule. Utilizing a team approach of quality, production, engineering, and tooling disciplines, all tools are maintained to produce a consistent superior quality part. Freeway has built and maintains over 10,000 tool sets through our decades of experience. With our cross functional team, we have found countless solutions for our customers over a diverse range of applications.
